The brand is now turning its attention to the 4WD segment with the KP31, a dual-cab ute due in Q4 2026 that will debut the world’s first plug-in hybrid diesel powertrain. Pairing a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel with electric assistance, the KP31 targets a 1000kg payload and 3500kg towing capacity while promising improved fuel economy and reduced vibration over conventional diesels, a notable technical statement of intent from a brand new to the ute space.
