Mitsubishi Pajero Sport

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport details
PriceFrom $51,540
ANCAP Safety Rating5 stars
Fuel TypeDiesel

The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport line-up in Australia consists of four models – the GLS, GLS, Exceed and top-spec GSR – and in five- or seven-seat configurations.

All models are powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission – the powertrain is capable of producing 133kW and 430Nm. The Pajero Sport sits on a Triton ute chassis but with rear coils at the rear, making it a comfortable off-road tourer.

Pros

  • Straightforward to own and drive, with no unnecessary gimmicks
  • Ample room for passengers and cargo
  • Effective off-roader

Cons

  • The diesel works hard but sounds rough and feels a bit old-school
  • Drives more like a ute than a modern SUV, especially on rough roads
  • Functional but dated interior, with hard plastics
