In fact, Lerderderg State Park is only 70-odd kilometres away from the city and makes for a great afternoon trip. Stretch your legs a big further and the Otways and Grampians NP make for great weekend destinations.

Located a mere three hours’ drive northwest of Melbourne, the Grampians NP has something for any adventurer.

Little Desert National Park

The 1326km² park has a fantastic mix of sandy desert terrain and huge river red gums beside the Wimmera.
