One of a handful of full-size American pick-ups now available in Australia, the Toyota Tundra officially entered the local market in Q4 of 2024.
Currently only two variants are available – the Limited and Platinum – which both cost in excess of $150,000. The Tundra is equipped with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 326kW and 790Nm, giving the vehicle a towing capacity of up to 4500kg. The vehicle is imported and converted to right-hand drive by the experts at Walkinshaw

- Strong twin‑turbo hybrid V6 with 790 Nm and 4.5 t towing capacity

Warranty
The Tundra comes with Toyota’s five‑year, unlimited‑kilometre warranty, with engine and driveline coverage extended to seven years if you stick to the service schedule. Servicing is every six months or 10,000km, capped at $450 each time. It’s the same setup as the LC300, and while the Tundra’s a big, complex bit of gear with a hybrid drivetrain, it’s still backed by a straightforward plan that won’t sting too hard come service time.
Pricing
The Tundra Limited kicked off at $155,990 before on‑road costs, officially making it Australia’s priciest double‑cab ute when it debuted in November 2024. Stepping up the luxury, the Platinum variant landed from $172,990 when it hit showrooms from May 2025.
