Land Rover Defender
The Land Rover Defender is a premium off-road SUV that strikes a delicate balance between on- and off-road performance. The line-up in Australia boasts an extensive list of models and powertrain options, and three body styles are in local showrooms: Defender 90, Defender 110 and Defender 130. The 90 seats up to five; the 110 up to seven; and the big and burly 130 can fit up to eight passengers. Powertrain options include a 294kW/500Nm 3.0-litre petrol; a 183kW/570Nm 3.0-litre diesel; a 257kW/700Nm 3.0-litre diesel; a 297kW/640Nm 2.0-litre hybrid; and a stonking 386kW/625Nm 5.0-litre V8 petrol.
