Volkswagen has confirmed Australian pricing for the Amarok V6 W600, with the Walkinshaw-developed flagship ute to arrive from $91,990 before on-road costs.

Developed with Walkinshaw Automotive Group, the Amarok V6 W600 builds on the V6-powered Amarok with a locally tuned suspension and chassis package aimed at improving its on-road dynamics. Rather than being an off-road monster, the upgrades are focused on sharper handling and improved body control while maintaining the capability needed for touring, towing and everyday driving.

The Walkinshaw-developed chassis package includes bespoke KONI suspension with Frequency Selective Damping technology, Walkinshaw-specific suspension valve calibration, a newly developed 22mm rear anti-roll bar, 20-inch flow-formed alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres.

The suspension changes deliver improved steering response, cornering stability and driver confidence, particularly on sealed roads where most owners will spend the majority of their time.

The Amarok V6 W600 is priced from $91,990 before on-road costs, with metallic paint ($1100) and a factory electric roller cover ($3450) available as options. VW has yet to confirm a local launch date for the Amarok V6 W600, with further details on availability expected closer to its arrival in Australian showrooms.
