JAC Motors has locked in pricing for its new T9 Osprey variants, new lifestyle-focused dual-cabs recently added to the brand’s local line-up.

The Osprey sits at $46,629 + ORC, with the darker-trimmed Osprey X at $47,079 + ORC. Importantly, both models are stamped with a payload of 980kg – deliberately just under the one-tonne mark that locks most dual-cab utes out of Australia’s salary-packaging and novated-lease markets.

Mechanically, the vehicles remain unchanged: 125kW/410Nm 2.0-litre turbodiesel, ZF eight-speed automatic, BorgWarner dual-range transfer case, and a locking rear diff. Fuel use is claimed at 7.6L/100km, and the T9’s five-star ANCAP rating still stands. All models come with JAC’s seven-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, capped-price servicing and 24/7 roadside assistance.

The Osprey upgrades include a powered sunroof, tuned suspension, heated front seats, privacy glass and a 360-degree camera. The Osprey X adds blacked-out wheels, grille, badges and trim for a slightly tougher edge.

For tradies and fleet buyers, there’s also the T9 Oasis Cab-Chassis at $41,162 + ORC. With a 1165kg payload before the standard alloy tray is fitted, it’s a thrifty, work-ready option.

“The Osprey isn’t just another spec level – it’s a calculated move into a massive addressable market,” said Ahmed Mahmoud, JAC Motors Australia’s Managing Director. “We’re seeing growing demand from salary packaging buyers who want ute capability with lifestyle refinement. The Osprey delivers both, and now it qualifies for their preferred finance method.”

All T9 models, including the Osprey, Osprey X and Oasis Cab-Chassis, are arriving in dealerships as we speak.
