Mahindra is offering $4000 off its Scorpio Z8+, bringing the seven-seat SUV’s price down to $39,990 drive-away.
The higher-specification Z8L+ also receives a discount, dropping from $48,990 to $45,990 drive-away, saving buyers $3000. The offer applies to 2025-built stock until December 31, 2026
At its discounted price, the Scorpio undercuts several established seven-seat 4×4 rivals. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GLX starts at $51,540, the LDV D90 Executive at $51,568 and the KGM Rexton ELX at $52,000. The GWM Tank 300 is another off-road alternative, starting at around $47,990, although it has five seats rather than seven.

Both Scorpio variants use a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel producing 128.6kW and 400Nm, paired with a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Claimed combined fuel consumption is 7.2L/100km.
Built on a body-on-frame platform, the Scorpio features Mahindra’s 4XPLOR terrain management system, low-range gearing and a rear diff lock. Braked towing capacity is rated at 2500kg, below the 3500kg rating offered by most of its rivals.
The Z8+ comes with an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a powered sunroof.
The Z8L+ adds leatherette upholstery across seven seats, ventilated front seats, a six-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a seven-inch colour driver’s display, and a 12-speaker Sony sound system with subwoofer and 3D immersive audio. It also gains wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, a front camera with front parking sensors and power-folding exterior mirrors.

Both variants feature six airbags and an advanced driver assistance systems package including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition.
Mahindra’s discount comes as other brands roll out similar incentives. Ford, for example, is offering $4000 off selected Ranger, Everest and F-150 models through a fuel promotion.
Earlier this year, Mahindra revealed its new Lifestyler dual-cab ute, which is expected to launch in India by April 2027, with an Australian arrival potentially following around mid-2027. Built on a new body-on-frame platform, the ute has three design themes: work-focused Valley, off-road-oriented Trail and lifestyle-focused Reef. Australian pricing, engine specifications, towing capacity and payload figures remain unconfirmed.
The Scorpio is covered by Mahindra’s seven-year, 150,000km warranty.
